REVISION DATE: MARCH 2026 • AVIATION REGULATORY NOTICE
1. Operational Pilot in Command (PIC) Authority
Under Federal Aviation Regulations (14 CFR § 91.3), the Pilot in Command of an aircraft is directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of that aircraft. AeroWind Pro is intended as a supplementary pre-flight planning and educational flight computing aid. All landing and takeoff decisions must be validated against the certified Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) or Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM).
2. Aerodynamic Accuracy & Weather Data
The trigonometric computations implemented in this software adhere strictly to FAA Advisory Circular 91-79A. However, local micro-meteorological phenomena, mechanical wind shear, wake turbulence, and convective gusts may cause actual surface wind vectors to deviate from reported METAR conditions.
3. Non-Commercial Training Use
Flight schools, instructors, and individual aviators may utilize this calculator freely for flight training, ground school instruction, and pre-flight crosswind risk analysis.
